Terryland Forest Park 13th July 2013

Well the heat wave is in full swing. Dare I say it, ‘it’s almost too hot. New bird to the list Spotted Flycatcher which brings the total to 41. 17 bumble bee various species, still struggling IDing these guys; 7 Blue-tail Damselfly; 10 Banded Demoiselle; Butterflies 7 Small Tortoiseshell; 14 Meadow Brown; 3 Ringlet; 3 Speckled Wood; 2 Small White; 3 dragonflies including Black-tailed Skimmer and two unknowns. The Grasshoppers and ladybirds put in an appearance today. Sad to see a dead Moorhen along the verge at the end of the transect.
